They are brilliant, creative young people standing at a dangerous crossroads.
Navigating juvenile justice, foster care, or unstable homes.
Wrestling with who they are vs. who the world says they are.
Absorbing racism and low expectations every single day.
Society calls them "problems" because of fights or truancy.
They just need the cultural mirror to see it for themselves.
Pouring funds into "one-size-fits-all" models that fail to create lasting shifts.
Facing disengaged youth who shut down or reject mainstream approaches.
Watching your best people lose heart because they lack the tools to handle the intensity of the need.
Being asked for better grades and behavior while using methods that don't connect with the culture.
Western models aren't enough. You need something that gets to the root of identity.
Unapologetically Afrocentric and Hip Hop centered.
We answer the deep questions: Who am I? Where do I come from?
When a young person knows their value, destructive behaviors fall away.

A safe space to leave negative patterns behind.
Learning history, leadership, and new principles.
Practicing self-control and purpose-driven choices.
Returning to the community as a confident adult.
They just need the cultural mirror to see it for themselves.
Healing racial trauma and building pride.
Ethical choices and self-care.
Financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Community service and healthy bonds.

"We've tried everything. This is the first time we've seen a change in not just their behavior, but in their spirit. They carry themselves differently. They see a future for themselves. From Chains to Glory didn't just give us a curriculum; they helped us save lives."

"We've tried everything. This is the first time we've seen a change in not just their behavior, but in their spirit. They carry themselves differently. They see a future for themselves. From Chains to Glory didn't just give us a curriculum; they helped us save lives."

I’m Joy Dozier, the founder of From Chains to Glory.
For over 20 years, as an African American therapist and social worker, I have dedicated my life to the healing and empowerment of our community.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the historic Howard University, and I understand this work on a cultural, personal, and generational level.
From Chains to Glory was born from a deep understanding that our youth don’t need to be “fixed.”
They need to be seen, heard, and reconnected to the greatness that is already inside them.
A plan tailored to your specific youth.
Equipping your team with cultural competency.
Staying with you so the program thrives.
Strategy, Curriculum, and Intro Training.
Full customization and quarterly coaching.
On-site implementation and monthly coaching.
A no-pressure talk about your goals.
Pick the partnership that fits.
Begin building identity and lasting change.
We understand the financial constraints of nonprofits.
We are committed to making this work accessible and can discuss flexible payment structures and support you in identifying funding opportunities for youth development programs.
This program is designed to *re-energize* your staff, not drain them.
By providing them with tools that work, you will see their morale and effectiveness soar.
Our training is designed to empower and inspire.
Mentoring is a component, but not the core. Our program is a structured, holistic **Rites of Passage** with a proven, culturally specific curriculum.
It’s a deep, identity-building process, not just a relationship-based activity.
Youth stand tall, knowing exactly who they are.
Self-control replaces the "tough" exterior.
Better grades and attendance driven by purpose.
Your team feels like mentors, not police.
Without this, youth remain at risk of the justice system.
Self-control replaces the "tough" exterior.
Every day we wait, a "possibility" becomes a "problem."
Your staff will continue to fight a losing battle.
