Introduction At From Chains to Glory, we take your privacy as seriously as your healing. This policy outlines how we protect your personal information and maintain the “Safe Harbor” we have built for our community.

Confidentiality & HIPAA Compliance As a practice led by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), all therapeutic interactions are governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Your “Real Talk” stays in this house. We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data to third parties.

The Privacy Advantage (No Insurance) Because we are a private, out-of-pocket practice, we do not share your mental health records or diagnoses with insurance companies. This ensures that your personal journey is not a matter of public or corporate record, providing you with a level of privacy that “standard” clinics cannot offer.

Information We Collect

  • Contact Data: Name, email, and phone number collected via our “Quick-Start” form.
  • Payment Data: Processed securely via encrypted third-party providers (Stripe/HSA/FSA). We do not store your full credit card details.
  • Usage Data: We use the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site to improve the user experience.

Your Rights You have the right to request a copy of your records, request a correction to your data, or ask us to delete your contact information from our marketing systems at any time.

2. Terms of Service for From Chains to Glory

1. Nature of Services: From Chains to Glory provides individual, couples, and family therapy rooted in an Afrocentric perspective. While we use a high-level “90-Day Success Map,” healing is a personal process. Results depend on the client’s commitment to the work.

2. Payment & Investment

  • Fees: Individual sessions are $160; Couples/Family sessions are $180.
  • Out-of-Pocket: We are a non-insurance practice. Payment is due at the time of service.
  • Legacy Investment: We accept HSA and FSA cards. Upon request, we can provide a “Superbill” for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

3. Cancellation & “No-Show” Policy We respect your time and ask that you respect ours. We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

4. 48-Hour Consultation Promise We strive to respond to all “Quick-Start” inquiries within 24–48 hours. This is a consultation to determine cultural alignment and fit, not a guarantee of immediate therapy placement.

5. Emergency Disclaimer From Chains to Glory is not a crisis center. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in immediate danger:

  • Call 911
  • Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
  • Go to the nearest emergency room.

6. Termination of Care We reserve the right to terminate services if there is a lack of clinical alignment or if the safety of the therapist or client is at risk.
